Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Spokane is seeking a Regional Development Manager to lead fundraising, events, donor cultivation and community relations. You will collaborate with officers, staff and volunteers to execute plans, manage budgets, and report results.

With a focus on mission-driven development, you will oversee communications, campaigns and the Spokane Corps annual report while coordinating with headquarters and partners to meet revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience plus a minimum of three years in a nonprofit fundraising role.
• Demonstrates familiarity with fundraising, marketing, communications, event management and community relations principles
• Possess effective interpersonal, conversational and presentation skills, with strong writing abilities and pitching skills
• Works independently in a fast-paced environment, highly organized with multi-project management
• Maintains confidentiality of donor records and uses donor databases per Salvation Army protocols

Responsibilities

• Executes development and implementation of fundraising and special events to build community relationships
• Ensures fundraising event revenue targets are met or exceeded
• Organizes all aspects of event production including budgets, volunteers, vendors and logistics
• Assists in cultivation, solicitation, follow-up and recognition of donors for events
• Coordinates with suppliers and partners for contracts, advertising, catering and décor
• Manages Spokane Corps annual report content and donor communications
• Coordinates advertising campaigns and writes content for communications channels
• Maintains relationships with HQ and other stakeholders and pursues new marketing possibilities
