Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Systems SPOCT Leader to provide technical leadership for performance, operability, and controls across the Small Uncrewed Engines development portfolio, including GEK1500 and GE426 propulsion systems. This role requires guiding cross-functional teams to meet strict performance and reliability goals.

Responsibilities include MBSE usage, design space trade studies, cycle optimization, and mentoring SPOCT engineers while delivering on-time, within-budget propulsion system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6–8 years in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years in SPOCT disciplines (steady‑state, transient, cycle design, operability, or control).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and lead design trade studies.
• Provide expertise in gas turbine performance, operability, and cycle optimization.
• Work at the intersection of systems, design, controls, and test engineering.
• Define SPOCT strategies for GEK1500 and GE426 propulsion systems.
• Lead design space trade studies and cycle optimization.
• Utilize MBSE tools, including CAMEO, to manage SPOCT requirements.
• Lead requirement development, test planning, and qualification planning.
• Provide technical oversight and mentoring to SPOCT engineers.
