Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a lead for Self-Perform Operations (SPO) projects in Dallas, TX. You will supervise and mentor teams, manage client relationships, and oversee contracts, schedules, budgets, and safety programs on complex construction initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and about 8 years of related experience, with preference for union management experience and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related construction experience
• Supervision or management experience preferred
• Union management experience desired
• Thorough knowledge of cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and accounting principles
• Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule

Responsibilities

• Lead development of high-performance project teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Provide leadership to foster an environment of diversity and inclusion for all staff.
• Develop and improve client relationships fostering trusted advisor status.
• Understand and administer company contract and subcontract agreements.
• Promote community involvement to build strategic relationships and embrace the community.
• Foster and enhance internal, architect, owner, vendor, and supplier relations.
• Assist in development and update of master schedule including SPO schedule; distribute to partners and suppliers.
• Manage budget and financial reporting; analyze reports to ensure adherence to budget.
• Manage productivity tracking program and QC program.
• Lead risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions.
• Understand and advise on company ethics and compliance programs.
• Manage field operations and engineering processes and procedures.
• Understand labor agreements where applicable.
• Develop and implement project safety protocols.
• Ensure timely submission of pay applications.
• Coordinate with accounting on supplier invoices and contract change orders.
