This role can be performed within the Ohio Valley, collaborating with a close-knit team of Cisco Solutions Engineers dedicated to delivering innovative, high-impact results.

You will act as the technical authority for your architecture, lead sessions and proofs-of-value, and work with account teams to win

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrated ability in a pre-sales engineering or a similar deep technical role.
• 5+ years of broad and deep technical knowledge across security, observability, event, or network management.
• Preferred qualifications include relationship-building with customers and partners, 5+ years of communication/presentation skills, observability or security pre-sales experience, and experience with RFXs and competitive bake-offs.

Responsibilities

• Be the Technical Authority: Own and win the technical decision. Lead breakdown sessions, bake-offs, and proofs-of-value.
• Master and Promote: Articulate vision, strategy, and technical details to engineers and executives.
• Design for Complexity: Architect and validate single-architecture solutions for complex requirements.
• Win as a Team: Partner with Cisco ecosystem and Account Managers to win strategic opportunities.
• Mentor and Scale Expertise: Mentor the broader SE community and share protocols.
• Influence Product Direction: Provide feedback to engineering and business units to shape the roadmap.
