Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Splunk Solutions Engineer (SE) to join the Solutions Engineering team within the Ohio Valley.

You will act as the technical authority for complex customer engagements, leading architecture discussions and proofs-of-value to demonstrate Cisco's capabilities. You will collaborate across the ecosystem with Account Managers to win strategic opportunities and mentor peers in the SE community.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrated ability in a pre-sales engineering or a similar deep technical role (e.g., professional services, security analyst, SRE).
• 5+ years of broad and deep technical knowledge across one of the following areas: Security, observability, event, or network management.

Responsibilities

• Own and win the technical decision. Lead breakdown sessions, bake-offs, and proofs-of-value to prove Cisco's superiority.
• Serve as the go-to authority and articulate its vision to engineers and executives.
• Architect and validate trailblazing, single-architecture solutions for complex customer requirements.
• Partner with Cisco ecosystem and Account Managers to win strategic opportunities.
• Mentor and scale expertise across the SE community and share protocols.
• Provide feedback to Cisco engineering and business units to influence product direction.
