Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Splicing Manager to oversee all phases of utility construction with emphasis on coax splicing. You will lead teams, develop skills, and ensure high-quality projects while upholding safety standards.

You will provide direction to multiple crews, mentor teammates, and drive on-time delivery, working in a safety-conscious environment with strong customer service focus.

Qualifications

• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work.
• You are looking for long-term projects.
• You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team.
• You have 3+ years of experience managing Coax or Fiber Splicers.
• You have 5+ years of Coax or Fiber Splicing experience.
• You enjoy problem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field.
• You embrace the challenge of coaching and mentoring your team.
• You have an understanding of basic accounting principles.
• You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software.
• You have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the utility construction industry.
• Develop your team’s skill set and knowledge of coax splicing.
• Give direction to multiple crews and their job site activities.
• Support the company-wide safety culture.
• Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects.
