Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Splicing Manager to oversee all phases of utility construction with emphasis on coax splicing. You will lead field crews, mentor technicians, and drive safety and project quality on multiple sites.

You will coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery, problem-solve in the field, and uphold MasTec’s standards for safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• Safety is a day-to-day priority.
• Track record of high-quality work.
• 5+ years managing coax or fiber splicers.
• Problem-solving and field troubleshooting.
• Experience coaching and mentoring teams.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and learning new software.

As a Splicing Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all phases of utility construction with an emphasis on coax splicing. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.

• Provide leadership in the utility construction industry
• Develop your team’s skill set and knowledge of coax splicing
• Give direction to multiple crews and their job site activities
• Support the company-wide safety culture
• Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects
• Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers for escalated issues

Qualifications

About You:

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day
• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
• You have 5+ years of managing Coax or Fiber Splicers
• You enjoy problem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• You embrace the challenge of coaching and mentoring your team
• You have an understanding of basic accounting principles
• You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software
