Job summary

Network Connex is seeking a Splicing Foreman 2 to lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks in the Denver area. You will mentor a crew, coordinate with trades, and ensure quality and safety standards while meeting project budgets and timelines.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of fiber splicing, 5–7 years in wireless telecom, and 5–7 years of supervisory experience; proficiency with EXFO FastReporter, Outlook, and SharePoint is beneficial.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the crew from project start to completion, ensuring safety, quality, budget and timelines.
• Review build documentation with crew; assemble materials and determine installation methods.
• Supervise on-site inventory and material tracking.
• Submit on-site progress reports and manage schedules, delays, and material shortages.
• Train crew on safety and quality standards; verify certifications and skillsets.
• Maintain equipment and address deficiencies; assist with on-site troubleshooting as needed.

Job Summary

The Splicing Foreman 2 is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks in the field, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. This includes leading and mentoring a team, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring all work meets quality standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the crew from the beginning of a project throughcompletion, ensuring safety and quality standards, budget, and timelines are met.
• Review documentation with the crew to prepare for the build, assemble the necessary materials, and determine the required installation methods.
• Supervise the tracking of all on-site inventory and materials.
• Collect, review, and submit all on-site closeout documentation per the deliverable timelines.
• Training crew members on proper safety/quality standards to align with CCDP (Crew Career Development Program)
• Verify that the crew members have proper certifications and skillsets to perform the scope of work.
• Maintain issued equipment and reported deficiencies as needed.
• Submit daily reports of on-site progress with any potential schedule delays and or needed / missing materials.
• Be available for night work and occasional weekends as project needs arise.
• Provide hands-on support in fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting when necessary.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• At least 5 years of experience splicing fiber.
• Experience with EXFO FastReporter software.
• 5-7 years of wireless telecommunications industry experience
• 5-7 years of supervisory experience
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook Suite)
• Ability to perform fiber, sweep, and PIM testing
• Ability to operate aerial lifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment as needed
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to the set schedule
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to motivate, lead, teach, and train on proper work and safety procedures
• Sharepoint Experience
• Must have basic automotive skills to cope with any minor vehicle issues that arise

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
• Must be able to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50 lb. load
• Ability to travel away from home, including weekends (seldom)
