Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory seeks a Ministry Assistant at The Harbor Light Corps/Center to support the spiritual mission through programming and activities. You will assist the Corp Administrator with devotional materials for clients and staff, ensuring the mission is carried out effectively.

Responsibilities include worship participation, spiritual counseling, leading Bible studies, trainings for new recruits, pastoral visits, and coordinating outreach and recognition events.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred Associate's in Biblical Studies or related field.
• Background checks: a background check is required and will be reviewed.
• Experience: at least two years of teaching in a spiritual program and/or soldiership.
• Certifications: valid driver’s license; Safe From Harm training within 90 days; Case Management Certification and related trainings within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in Worship Services.
• Provide Spiritual Assessment and Counseling for residents, clients, and staff.
• Support in recovery classes, Bible Studies, Prayer meetings, and related curriculum.
