Job summary

Altra Homecare Group in Indianapolis seeks caring, compassionate caregivers to support clients at home, helping them live safely and independently with personalized, respectful care.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, medication reminders, monitoring health, keeping accurate records, and maintaining privacy while following care protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws (training provided).
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: current CPR certification.
• Preferred: current tuberculosis (TB) test.

• Assist with patient laundry.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Ensure patient safety.
• Report significant changes to supervisor.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
• Monitor and record patient temperature.
• Assist patients with ambulation.
• Conduct range of motion exercises and light activities.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to care protocols.
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines.
• Offer bathing assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading.
