Job summary

Rock Creek Integrated Solutions is building a PRN team of Speech-Language Pathologists to support patients in hospice, home-based, and clinical settings. This role can be done fully remote through telehealth. Some patients are in the Rapid City, SD area, so in-person visits there are a plus. You manage visits on your schedule and are paid per visit.

This is ideal for SLPs seeking flexible extra caseload or to keep adult/medical skills active alongside another role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
• Active SD SLP license or ability to obtain one.
• Adult/medical setting experience preferred.
• Strong dysphagia assessment and management skills.
• Comfortable delivering therapy via telehealth.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat swallowing, communication, and cognitive-communication needs via telehealth and in-person when possible.
• Make safe, comfort-focused diet and feeding recommendations.
• Train patients, families and caregivers on swallowing strategies and communication supports.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, social workers and other therapists.
• Document each visit accurately and on time.

This role can be done fully remote through telehealth. Some of the patients we serve are in the Rapid City, South Dakota area, so the ability to see patients in person there is a big plus. You take the visits that fit your schedule and are paid per visit.

This is a great fit for SLPs who want flexible extra caseload, or who want to keep their adult and medical skills active alongside another role.

Pay:

$60+ per visit (PRN contract)

Duties

• Evaluate and treat swallowing, communication, and cognitive-communication needs via telehealth and, when possible, in person
• Make safe, comfort-focused diet and feeding recommendations
• Train patients, families, and caregivers on swallowing strategies and communication supports
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, social workers, and other therapists
• Document each visit accurately and on time
• See patients in homes and facilities around Rapid City when available (a plus, not required)

Experience

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and CCC-SLP
• Active South Dakota SLP license, or able to obtain one
• Adult or medical-setting experience (home health, SNF, hospital, or hospice) preferred
• Strong dysphagia assessment and management skills
• Comfortable delivering therapy over telehealth
• Comfortable having compassionate conversations with patients and families
• Ability to see patients in person in the Rapid City area is a plus
