Job summary

Southwest Montana Veteran's Home is actively seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Butte, MT. This PRN position focuses on evaluating residents, creating rehab plans, and supporting the interdisciplinary care team in a long-term care setting.

The role requires an accredited SLP program graduate with a valid SLP license (CFY acceptable). Orientation, health screening, and TB testing are required, with daily pay options available as part of our flexible compensation.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathologist program.
  • Must hold current and active SLP license or registration in state employed or CFY
  • Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus!
  • Completion of orientation required by company policy.
  • Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
  • Familiarity with local, state and federal regulations governing the role.
  • Show within three days of hire evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate SLP rehabilitation plan.
  • Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
  • Inform Residents what to anticipate in different stages of recovery and how to handle each situation.
  • Maintain Resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Supervise CFYs when required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by infection-control policies.
  • Conform to federal, state, and local regulations relating to the job.
  • Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.

Speech Language Pathologist Job Responsibilities

Speech Language Pathologist Requirements
