Valley Baptist Health System is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat patients, interpret physician orders, and develop functional goals. You will involve families and the care team, review progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Position requires a Master's degree in speech-language pathology, State Intern Licensure, and BLS certification. Knowledge of ASHA/CCC pathways is advantageous; this role emphasizes compassionate care and adherence to guidelines.

Adheres to American Speech Language & Hearing Association (ASHA/State guidelines) until the notification of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is obtained. Interprets physician orders and requests interpretation as necessary. Administers and interprets tests and measurements of patients. Reviews patient chart and progress prior to treatment and modifies the treatment plan accordingly. Develops realistic functional goals based on patient and/or family expectations. Instructs and involves patient, family, social worker, nursing staff and discharge planner in patient's progress and discharge plans. Participates in appropriate meetings. Maintains documentation of all treatments. Uses appropriate modalities and procedures. Assures appropriate equipment performance prior to each use. Provides in-service to staff.
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center.
