The Lakes Home Care is hiring a Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team. You will work with patients across neonatal to geriatric populations, assisting in assessments and implementing therapy under the guidance of a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, progress documentation, and helping to develop individualized treatment plans. Strong communication with families and the care team is essential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or certification.
• Understanding of speech and language disorders and therapeutic techniques.
• Commitment to ongoing licensure and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in patient assessments and gathering information.
• Implement prescribed therapies under supervision and guidance.
• Provide direct patient care and document progress during treatment sessions.
• Support development and modification of individualized treatment plans.
• Instruct patients in exercises to improve speech and communication.
• Collaborate to implement augmentative and alternative communication strategies.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the interdiscplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings to review treatment plans and patient progress.
