Job summary

Ampersand Therapy LLC in Cheney, WA is seeking a Paraprofessional – Virtual Speech Therapy E-Helper to support students in-person while the remote SLP delivers therapy. You will set up equipment, assist during sessions, and help keep students engaged under guidance, for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, W-2 role with benefits.

Start date ASAP, collaborate with teachers and the SLP, ensure confidentiality, and manage materials and technology for therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational settings.
• High school diploma or GED is required or an approved alternative.
• One of the credential options listed must be satisfied (credits, degree, or ParaPro).

Responsibilities

• Help students access and participate in scheduled virtual therapy sessions.
• Set up devices, headphones, and materials for sessions.
• Assist with basic technology troubleshooting and report issues to staff.
• Support student attention, engagement, and participation under the remote SLP.
• Help with transitions, organize activities, and communicate observations to the SLP and school team.
• Maintain student confidentiality and create a safe learning environment.
