Job summary

Ampersand Therapy LLC in Port Orchard, WA, is hiring a Paraprofessional – Virtual Speech Therapy E-Helper for the 2026–2027 school year. You will work in-person with students while they receive speech therapy from a remote SLP, helping with setup and session participation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or higher credits/degree) and comfort with computers and video conferencing. Experience with children and strong teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• High school diploma or GED required; college credits or degree preferred.
• Ability to use computers and videoconferencing tools to support remote therapy.

Responsibilities

• Help students access and participate in scheduled virtual speech therapy sessions.
• Set up devices, headphones, and materials for sessions.
• Assist with basic technology troubleshooting and report connection issues.
• Support student attention, engagement, and participation under the remote SLP.
• Help students transition to and from therapy sessions.
• Communicate observations to the SLP and school team; maintain confidentiality.
