Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a part-time Speech Therapist to assess and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across age groups.

The role centers on evidence-based therapy plans and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include conducting MBS-related evaluations, documenting progress, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience in a hospital, rehab, or related setting.
• Experience with MBS studies and dysphagia management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to improve outcomes.
• Performs MBS evaluations in collaboration with Radiology and communicates results.
• Documents progress, maintains medical records, and supports billing accuracy.
• Collaborates with physicians and interprofessional teams to coordinate care.
• Provides patient, family, and caregiver education to support continuity of care.
