Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Speech Therapist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in both children and adults. The role develops individualized plans and collaborates with physicians and caregivers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities include MBS evaluations, treatment implementation, daily documentation, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
1–3 years as a Speech Therapist in clinical, hospital, or rehabilitation settings.
Experience with Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies and dysphagia management preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and teams to coordinate care.
Perform MBS evaluations and communicate results to radiology and team.
Document patient progress daily and maintain accurate billing records.
Provide patient, family, and caregiver education for continuity of care.
Discharge planning with follow-up recommendations and physician feedback.
Maintain attendance and comply with policies and standards.
