Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. You will develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities include MBS evaluations with Radiology, documenting progress in the medical record, and coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology preferred.
  • Experience with Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies and dysphagia management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and treats speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations.
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to improve outcomes.
  • Performs MBS evaluations in collaboration with Radiology and communicates results.
  • Documents progress and maintains accurate medical records daily.
  • Coordinates referrals and educates patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Maintains coding, billing, and EMR documentation in compliance with policies.
