Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients in a hospital rehab setting. You will implement therapy plans, document progress, and collaborate with rehab leadership to improve patient outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Speech Therapy, ASHA CCC-SLP or SLPCF, and BLS. On-site work with variable shifts; weekend coverage as needed; opportunities to participate in CQI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Therapy or equivalent from an approved program.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA and California Board.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• SLPCF with California Temporary License required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates plans and directs therapy modalities as prescribed by a licensed physician.
• Assists patients in reaching maximum performance and functioning levels.
• Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in CQI and chart reviews.
• Documents all elements of patient management in a timely, accurate manner.
• Collaborates with Rehab leadership on clinical and operational projects.

Education

Master's degree in Speech Therapy or equivalent

CCC-SLP certification

SLPCF (Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship) with CA Temporary License

AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification
