Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in acute care, rehab or homecare as a Speech Therapist.
  • Comfort with various computer systems; handheld clinical devices preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Willingness to travel within the MGB Healthcare at Home geographic area.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Provide skilled speech‑language and swallowing therapy in the home.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and recommendations.
  • Assess and address communication, cognition, and swallowing needs.
  • Make recommendations for compensatory strategies, adaptive techniques, and equipment as indicated.
  • Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to transition to outpatient services as appropriate.
  • Document evaluations, treatment, progress, and care coordination activities.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, effective, patient‑centered care.
  • Deliver high‑quality care that helps patients maximize independence and quality of life.

Join our Tanner City team Most of your visits will be in Hathorne, Lynnefield, Middleton, Peabody, Andover, Topsfield, Boxford, Hamilton, Wentham, Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Concord, Lawrence, Lexington, Lincoln, Reading, Stoneham, Tewksbury, Wakefield, Wilmington, Winchester, Woburn. You’ll work with a diverse patient population and provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing services where patients live every day.

What you’ll do
