Job summary

Cedar River Healthcare Center in Renton, WA is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team and help residents improve communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.

This on-site role offers full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities across all shifts, with a supportive environment and opportunities for growth and meaningful work in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Current Washington Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide skilled therapy services based on each resident's needs and goals.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate residents, families, caregivers, and team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Follow all applicable professional, state, federal, and facility guidelines.
