We are interviewing qualified speech language pathologists to join our collaborative team at Seattle Therapy – Skills for Life ® !

At Seattle Therapy – Skills for Life we are committed to excellence in pediatric therapy. We currently offer feeding therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, groups, and parent support.

In our 11,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility, our therapists have built-in preparation and documentation time, allowing them to focus on each client and their wraparound care. Our wraparound model of care and ongoing collaboration leads to better outcomes for children and families, especially when coupled with the experience, energy, and inspiration of the Seattle Therapy – Skills for Life team. Pay Range: $94,640 – $108,680 for full-time (hourly: $45.50 – $52.25)

3-5 years of pediatric experience will be considered at the upper pay range. The pay may be higher than what is listed if a qualified applicant has 5+ years of experience in pediatric speech therapy.

Job Description

Provide comprehensive evaluations and skilled speech therapy intervention to pediatric clients at Seattle Therapy – Skills for Life.

Typical Work
  • Provide primarily in-person speech therapy considering the context of the clinic, home, school, and/or community setting; considering all aspects of the individual’s functional performance.
  • Perform assessments and recommend appropriate treatment plans using our wraparound care approach to maximize functional outcomes.
  • Use out-of-the-box ideas and flexibility to create programmatic offerings.
  • Actively participate in implementation of wraparound treatment program, reassessment and discharge planning.
  • Deliver services within the framework of a team approach, including appropriate disciplines, caregivers and that patient while remaining in compliance with national and state SLP standards.
  • Participate in the operational aspects of the clinic.
  • May assist in program development, e.g., develop and monitor treatment protocols, clinical programs and quality assurance activities.
  • May be involved in graduate student or CF experiences requiring instruction, supervision, and evaluation. This is not mandatory.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Master’s degree with current Washington state license to practice; 3-5 years’ experience preferred, not required, and completion of applicable training or education in pediatrics.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language-Pathology
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Specialized training is required for role in feeding therapy.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certifications
Schedule/Working Conditions/Physical Demands
  • We are open 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Staff schedules tend to be 8-hour or 10-hour days. Part-time options are available.
  • Primarily in-person at the clinic with occasional home, school, community or virtual settings.
  • The ability to transition from standing to/from floor, sit, feel, crawl, bend, reach, carry, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this pediatric position.
