Job summary

BayCare HomeCare in Sarasota, FL seeks a Speech Therapist to deliver patient-centered speech-language pathology services. They will perform home visits and implement treatment plans designed to improve communication and swallowing functions, within an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master's degree in Speech Therapy, valid FL license, BLS, and at least 1 year of healthcare experience; home care experience is preferred. Standard hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Therapy/Speech Pathology.
• Florida Driver's License (within 30 days of hire), Speech Therapy licensing, and BLS.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience related to Speech Therapy.
• Preferred: 1 year of Home Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and developing plan of care to implement specific speech therapy programs for individual patients.
• Conducting home visits and providing services based on plan of care.
• Working in conjunction with RNs, LPNs and other therapy disciplines.

Speech Therapist Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating and developing plan of care to implement specific treatment programs for individual patients based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of the profession of Speech Language Pathology
• Conducting home visits and providing services based on plan of care
• Working in conjunction with other disciplines such as RNs, LPNs, therapy, etc.

Requirements

• Education: Master's degree in Speech Therapy/Speech Pathology
• Licensures: Florida Driver's License (within 30 days of hire), Speech Therapy, and BLS
• Experience: 1 year of healthcare experience related to Speech Therapy
• Preferred: 1 year of Home Care experience
