Job summary

BayCare HomeCare seeks a Speech Therapist to provide in-home services across Bradenton and surrounding areas, evaluating and treating patients with care guided by clinical standards. The role involves coordinating with RNs, LPNs, and other therapists to deliver high-quality home-based care.

• Florida Speech Therapy licensure is required.

• Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire).
• 1 year of healthcare experience in Speech Therapy; home care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and developing plan of care to implement specific treatment programs for individual patients based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of the profession of Speech Language Pathology.
• Conducting home visits and providing services based on plan of care.
• Working in conjunction with other disciplines such as RNs, LPNs, therapy, etc.

• Facility: BayCare Health System, Skilled Nursing Bradenton-HomeCare
• Status: Full Time, Exempt
• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• On Call: Yes
• Home visits in assigned service area:Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Oldsmar, and surrounding areas

The Speech Therapist provides hands‑on care in the home for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards and protocols. Responsibilities include :

• Evaluating and developing plan of care to implement specific treatment programs for individual patients based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of the profession of Speech Language Pathology
• Conducting home visits and providing services based on plan of care
• Working in conjunction with other disciplines such as RNs, LPNs, therapy, etc.

Required Certifications and Licensures:

• Speech Therapy State of Florida Licensure
• Basic Life Support
• Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)

Education:

• Masters Speech Therapy / Speech Pathology

Experience:

• 1 year Speech Therapy healthcare experience
• Preferred 1 year Home Care
