Job summary

BayCare HomeCare in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Speech Therapist to provide hands-on home health services to patients in assigned areas. The role features a flexible schedule and the chance to impact lives in the community.

Responsibilities include evaluating and developing plans of care, conducting home visits, and collaborating with RNs, LPNs, and therapy colleagues. Requirements include Florida licensure, BLS, and a master’s in Speech-Language Pathology; prior home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Florida license to practice Speech Therapy and BLS.
• 1 year of Speech Therapy healthcare experience; home care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Status: Full Time, Exempt
• Shift Hours: 8:0 AM - 5:00 PM
• Weekend Work: Occasional
• On Call: Yes
• Home visits in assigned service area: Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Oldsmar, and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

The Speech Therapist provides hands‑on care in the home for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards and protocols. Responsibilities include :

• Evaluating and developing plan of care to implement specific treatment programs for individual patients based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of the profession of Speech Language Pathology
• Conducting home visits and providing services based on plan of care
• Working in conjunction with other disciplines such as RNs, LPNs, therapy, etc.

Required

Certifications and Licensures:

• Speech Therapy State of Florida Licensure
• Basic Life Support
• Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)

Education

• Masters Speech Therapy / Speech Pathology

Experience

• 1 year Speech Therapy healthcare experience
• Preferred 1 year Home Care
