Responsibilities

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you help patients regain their communication and swallowing abilities. You are responsible for delivering effective rehab services, designing treatment plans, and working with patients to execute those plans.

You are a healer and a helper, addressing the whole patient as an individual, with the goal of restoring, reinforcing, and enhancing their speech and communication skills.

You adapt to the needs of each patient and find joy in the variety of work and settings, from equipment cleaning to participating in meetings.

You collaborate with your peers and make referrals when necessary to ensure comprehensive patient care.

You act as a teacher, training patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a similar field acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
