Responsibilities :

• Work cooperatively with physicians to develop appropriate treatment and care plans specific to the patient and their physicians' reports
• Assess the environment, especially regarding safety
• Identify equipment needs and develop adaptive plans to improve patient function and independence
• Report patient responses to treatment or changes in condition to the Director of Nursing and physician
• Prepare clinical and progress summaries, as well as discharge planning, and submit documents to the Director of Nursing
• Treat patients, family, and staff with courtesy and respect
• Submit accurate and timely documentation

Requirements :

• Graduated from an accredited speech therapy program
• Completed supervised fieldwork experience required by the educational institution
• At least one (1) year of appropriate experience as a speech therapist
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
