Job summary

Cedar River Healthcare Center is hiring a Speech Therapist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents’ speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing issues in our rehabilitation team. You will develop individualized plans and collaborate with nursing, dietary, and interdisciplinary staff to support resident goals.

Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited SLP program with WA licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Washington.
  • Current CPR certification, as required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills.
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting is preferred, but not required.
  • A compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents’ speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide skilled therapy services based on each resident’s needs and goals
  • Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate residents, families, caregivers, and team members
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Follow all applicable professional, state, federal, and facility guidelines

Pay: $40.00–$55.00 per hour
Schedule: All shifts available

Cedar River Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team! If you are passionate about helping residents improve their communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities, we would love to meet you.
