Advanced Behavioral Therapy is seeking a Speech Therapist to join our dynamic team. If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of behavior analysts and therapists, we’d love to hear from you!
As a Speech Therapist with Advanced Behavioral Therapy, you will play a key role in helping children improve their communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where ABA and speech therapy intersect to create the best outcomes for our clients in our ABA center.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborate with the ABA team.
- Provide speech therapy sessions to children, including one-on-one and small group sessions.
- Work closely with Behavior Analysts and other team members to integrate speech and language goals with ABA programs.
- Provide parent and caregiver training to enhance communication strategies at home.
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing input and collaborating to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
- Stay current with best practices in speech therapy and behavior analysis.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active and unrestricted license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Ohio.
- Active license with the Ohio Department of Education, or willingness to obtain.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and methodologies is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to provide family-centered care and work effectively with parents and caregivers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
