  • Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients as medically prescribed, in a professional manner and within hospital standards, adhering to the corporate compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Performs evaluations and re-evaluations according to standards and recommended techniques. Establishes, implements and adapts an individualized treatment plan of care (including appropriate goal setting, treatment activities and frequency). Discharges patients when maximum benefit has been achieved and/or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines.
  • Documents accurately, completely, and timely with legible handwriting. Uses measurable and objective terminology following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policy and procedures.
  • Charges patient accurately, timely and legibly according to guidelines of the CPT code format, price file, and following insurance guidelines.
  • Identifies the need for patient/caregiver education and utilizes each opportunity for teaching on a planned or spontaneous basis. Documents education with understanding as appropriate.
  • Meets at least 90% of productivity standards.
  • Practices principles of employee and patient safety when performing daily job activities via observation.
  • Handles and disposes of hazardous waste following established protocol. Consistently adheres to department’s radiation dosimetry process, including meeting all badge return deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Complies with FH Compliance Plan, rules and regulations of all local, state, and federal agencies, and with the standards of all accrediting bodies and payers as evident through documentation reviews, tracers and rounds results. Takes responsibility for the environment of care by monitoring and taking action as needed.

The expertise and experiences you will need to succeed:

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited University is required.

Must have experience performing and interpreting Modified Barium Swallow Studies for both inpatients and/or outpatients.

Licenses and Certifications

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Required

Must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
