Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Per Diem role in Acute Rehab. The position requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active licensure, and CCC-SLP eligibility with supervision for CFs. Hospital experience and BLS certification are preferred/required.

The pay is a flat $46.16 per hour with comprehensive benefits. The successful candidate will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure to practice SLP in the employment state.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification or SLP-CF eligibility with supervision.
• At least one year hospital experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement evaluation and treatment for disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and related services.
• Develop and implement new and ongoing programs beneficial for the department’s enhancement.

Overview

• Department: Speech Therapist Acute Rehab
• Schedule: Per Diem (as needed) weekend
• Facility: Resurrection Medical Center
• Location: 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631

Responsibilities

Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.

2. Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.

3. Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action – OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.

4. At least one year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

5. Current BLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

Resurrection Medical Center offers competitive compensation, and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is a flat rate of $46.16. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
