Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders.

You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans and collaborates with physicians and care teams to enhance department programs on day shifts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice SLP in Illinois.
• CCC-SLP or CF supervision eligibility; case-by-case consideration if CF.
• BLS for healthcare providers required on hire and maintained.

Department: OFIL Speech PathologyShift: Per Diem; DaysFacility: Olympia Fields Hospital Location: 20201 South Crawford Ave, Olympia Fields, IL 60461Compensation Rate: $47.08

Responsibilities

Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.

2. Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.

3. Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action – OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.

4. At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.

5. Current BLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.

Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $47.08. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
