Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Speech Pathology Coordinator to provide professional therapy and supervise support staff. You will evaluate, treat, reassess, and discharge plans for patients, while ensuring compliance with the Speech-Language Pathology Act and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include an accredited degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current BLS, and a Texas license.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid Texas license or temporary license required.
• 2 years licensed SLP; 4 years preferred.

Your Job:
The primary purpose of the Speech Pathology Coordinator position is to renders professional and technical speech and language therapy to assigned patients. You will provide direct and indirect patient care using the Practice of Speech-Language Pathology Act/Rules process (evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, ongoing re-assessment and discharge planning). You will direct and supervise support personnel and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with professional standards of care.

Your Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate program in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Valid Texas License or Temporary License required
• 2 years Licensed SLP; 4 years preferred
• High level of energy and motivation
• Must be able to operate with minimal supervision following probation period.

• Utilizes the speech and language therapy process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.
