Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Coordinator to provide professional therapy and to supervise support personnel. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver developmentally appropriate care and discharge planning.

The role requires a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Texas licensure, BLS, and 2 years of licensed SLP experience (4 years preferred). Flexibility with hours and some weekend coverage may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Valid Texas License or Temporary License required.
• 2 years Licensed SLP; 4 years preferred.
• Must be able to operate with minimal supervision following probation period.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Assumes responsibility for the speech and language therapy components of patient education.
• Communicates with healthcare team with assessment of communication effectiveness.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely documentation of patient information.
• Utilizes speech-language therapy process to ensure quality care throughout episode of care.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
