Job summary

The Valley Health System’s Henderson Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and goal‑oriented treatment for patients with communication and swallowing disorders. This per diem role involves flexible shifts and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing therapy, and monitoring progress to maximize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree from a university program meeting ASHA academic and internship requirements for the CCC-SLP.
  • Nevada State License as a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist; ASHA CCC-SLP certification or in progress of CFY.
  • Current BLS certification.

About Henderson Hospital

Job Description

Responsible for providing a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive, communication skills and/or swallowing function and providing goal‑oriented treatment to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor progress for patients with communication and swallowing disorders in a per diem varied shift schedule.

Qualifications
  • Shift: Per Diem Varied
  • Education: Master’s Degree from a university program meeting ASHA academic and internship requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • Experience: One (1) to two (2) years preferred.
  • License/Certification: Nevada State License as a Certified Speech Pathologist. ASHA CCC‑SLP certification or in progress of completing Clinical Fellowship year. Current BLS certification.
  • Other: Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
