Job summary

Community Rehabilitation Hospital North is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our committed team. This PRN role requires weekend availability and entails patient assessments, care planning, and discharge coordination with families and the healthcare team.

You will work under physician orders, monitor outcomes, and contribute to program development while supporting our mission of exceptional patient care in Indiana.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • ASHA CCC eligibility or CFY eligibility is required or desired.
  • State licensure or eligibility to be licensed is required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessment.
  • Establish a plan of care.
  • Provide care per physician orders and plan of care.
  • Assess treatment effectiveness and adjust as needed.
  • Plan patient discharge and communicate with family and care team.
  • Participate in performance improvement and program development.

Education

Bachelor's and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
ASHA CCC from ASHA or CFY eligibility
Licensed or eligible for licensure in state
Basic Life Support/CPR (BLS/CPR)

How you'll contribute

A Speech Pathologist who excels in this role:

  • Performs patient assessment
  • Establish a plan of care
  • Provides care in accordance with physician's orders and established plan of care
  • Assesses the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment to achieve goals
  • Plans for patient discharge. Communicates with patient, family, caregivers, significant other, and members of the healthcare team to achieve rehabilitation goals and promote maximum benefits of care
  • Participates in performance improvement and program development activities

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Additional requirements include:

  • Possess or eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY)

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in state

  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR card
