Job summary

Community Rehabilitation Hospital West in Indiana seeks a Speech Pathologist to join our team. You will perform patient assessments, establish plans of care, and provide therapy per physician orders to help patients achieve rehab goals.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA certification, and an active SLP license. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within Lifepoint Health and our network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
  • Current SLP license and ASHA certification required.
  • CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs patient assessment.
  • Establish a plan of care.
  • Provides care per physician orders and established plan of care.
  • Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify as needed to achieve goals.
  • Plan for patient discharge and communicate with patient and family to support rehab goals.
  • Participates in performance improvement and program development.

How you'll contribute

ASpeech Pathologist who excels in this role:

  • Performs patient assessment
  • Establish a plan of care
  • Provides care in accordance with physician's orders and established plan of care
  • Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment to achieve goals
  • Plans for patient discharge. Communicates with patient, family, caregivers, significant other, and members of the healthcare team to achieve rehabilitation goals and promote maximum benefits of care
  • Participates in performance improvement and program development activities

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Additional requirements include:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience: Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
  • License: Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
  • Certifications: CPR certification required.
