Overview

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24‑hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech‑language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; interpret assessment data; plan and perform speech‑language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential.
• Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric.
• Supervise rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers; may be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school.
• CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC.
