Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Westover Hills in San Antonio seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide patient-centered assessments and therapies for inpatients and outpatients. You will develop and implement treatment plans, document outcomes, supervise SLP students and volunteers, and participate in performance improvement initiatives within a busy hospital setting.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, state licensure and ASHA certification, and a commitment

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist and ASHA certified.
• BLS certification required.
• Clinical Fellowship Year qualifications may be met as per ASHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities for inpatients and outpatients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Adhere to documentation standards (Initial Evaluations, Progress notes, Discharge summaries).
• Participate in patient/family conferences and departmental meetings.
• Supervise and coordinate SLP student programs and volunteers.
• Assist with orientation of new associates, scheduling, and staff supervision as needed.
• Contribute to Performance Improvement activities and community resource referrals.
