Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Myers is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and implement individualized therapy for patients with speech and language needs in an inpatient rehab setting.

The role requires state licensure and CCC certification; CPR is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Master’s degree is preferred, with a Bachelor’s degree plus field experience acceptable.

• Successful completion of CCC (ASHA) certification.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master's degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
