Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Myers seeks a Speech Pathologist to help patients overcome speech and language challenges in a supportive inpatient setting. You will evaluate, develop, and implement personalized therapy plans while tracking progress and celebrating small victories with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, adjusting treatment plans as needed, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with the care team to optimize recovery.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC Certification (ASHA) required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

Education

Master's degree preferred

Bachelor's degree with field experience
