Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Virginia is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech and language challenges, delivering personalized care and documenting progress in a supportive, innovative inpatient setting. The role requires state licensure or certification and CCC credentialing, with CPR certification either on hire or within 30 days.

A Master’s degree is preferred, or a Bachelor’s with relevant field experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification required for SLP.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Master’s degree preferred, or bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, develop, and administer personalized treatment plans for patients.
• Identify issues and modify speech therapy treatment as necessary.
• Track and document patient performance, progress and response to treatment.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
