Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Parkersburg is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Fellow to support patients with speech and language rehabilitation under a supervising SLP. You will evaluate, develop, and administer personalized treatment plans and document progress in an inpatient setting.

The role requires current state licensure in Speech Language Pathology or CCC within 2 years, plus CPR/BLs within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must be in possession of current state license in Speech Language Pathology.
• SLP Certificate of Clinical Competencies (CCC) is expected within the first 2 years of employment or as directed by ASHA.
• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
