Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Parkersburg is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Fellow to support patients with speech and language challenges under the supervision of a licensed SLP. You will evaluate, develop, and administer personalized therapy plans in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, helping patients regain communication abilities and improve quality of life.

This role emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and ongoing progress tracking.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
• CCC expected within the first 2 years of employment per ASHA.
• BLS (CPR) required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, develop, and administer personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identify issues and modify speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Track and document patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
