Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Parkersburg is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Fellow to provide patient-focused therapy under supervision, addressing speech and communication needs in an inpatient rehabilitation environment. The Fellow will evaluate and develop treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

State licensure in SLP is required with CCC expected within 2 years; CPR/BLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state license in Speech Language Pathology.
• CCC required within first 2 years or per ASHA guidance.
• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, develop, and administer personalized treatment plans for speech and language rehabilitation.
• Identify issues and modify speech therapy treatment as needed.
• Track and document patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
