Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Parkersburg is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Fellow to evaluate, develop, and administer individualized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs. You will work under a supervising speech-language pathologist in a supportive inpatient rehab setting.

The role requires a current state license in Speech Language Pathology, and CCC expected within the first 2 years.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state license in Speech Language Pathology.
• CCC expected within the first 2 years of employment or as directed by ASHA.
• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
