Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Parkersburg is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Fellow to evaluate and treat patients with speech and language needs under supervision. The role emphasizes collaborative care, documentation, and ongoing professional growth in a leading post-acute care setting.

The position supports a team focused on patient-centered care, with opportunities for education, clinical advancement, and involvement in a large national network of rehabilitation locations.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• CCC (ASHA) is expected within the first 2 years of employment or per ASHA guidance.
• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
