CHRISTUS Health in San Antonio, TX seeks a Speech Pathologist to provide diagnostic evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and discharge planning for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role includes supervising Rehab Techs, students and volunteers, contributing to performance improvement, and maintaining quality documentation to support patient care and program development.

Formación

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Speech Pathology.
• Current State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities in patients.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and methods.
• Maintains quality documentation including Initial Evaluations, Progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Participates in patient care conferences, family conferences and interdepartmental meetings.
• Counsels family regarding evaluation, care and treatment; initiates discharge planning.
• Supervises Speech Pathology students and volunteers and assists in supervising Rehab Techs.
• Assists in orientation of new associates and scheduling to ensure patient coverage.
• Supports Performance Improvement activities and community resources referrals.
