Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, treatment and discharge planning for children with cognitive, communication and/or swallowing disorders. Pediatric oral motor/feeding experience is required.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in SLP and current NJ licensure. ASHA certification is preferred; CFY candidates may be considered. This is a per diem Day shift position with comprehensive benefits and supportive team.

Position Summary

To provide quality goal directed Speech and Language Pathology (SLP) evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning to pediatric patients in a variety of age groups with cognitive, communication and/or swallowing disabilities. Pediatric oral motor/feeding experience is required.

Education

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, Communication Disorders or related areas from an accredited college or university.

No previous experience required.

Standard Per Diem Rate

$63.00

Special Skills

Current certification by the American Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ASHA) in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent preferred. Maintains current state of New Jersey license in Speech-Language Pathology. Current BLS certification. May be a CFY candidate. Ability to perform work accurately and give attention to details. Ability to use effective critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities and perform job-related responsibilities. Ability to communicate and interact with the health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members. Ability to function competently in a changing work environment related to changing patient needs.
